NFL notebook: Packers GM Wolf's belief in Favre paid off (USA Today)

When he traded a No. 1 pick for the strong-armed, former Atlanta Falcons second-round pick in February 1992, Green Bay Packers GM Ron Wolf was told Brett Favre had a short shelf life due to a hip condition doctors compared to Bo Jackson's career-ending degenerative one. Wolf wasn't put off by that, and the rest is history.
